TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 

Designed and manufacture by Crownwell: The dryer has many attributes that are key to a remarkable, innovative dryer design with high quality operating characteristics to provide a liquid-free compressed air system.

High ambient operating temperatures: The Crownwell Refrigerated air dryer is designed for high temperature and high relative humidity ambient. It can operate under max. 46 oC ambient temperature, 80°C maximum inlet air temperature, and to match Crownwell rotary screw air compressor. The dryer use state of art, high efficiency extended surface heat exchangers. This design minimizes pressure drops whilst maximizing thermal productivity, thus optimizing the dryer performance under adverse operating conditions

High efficiency and credibility refrigeration compressor: A hermetically sealed reciprocating compressor is utilized throughout Crownwell design. All compressors have an oil sump heater with primary external motor temperature protection and internal, secondary motor temperature protection. A primary, external sensor with secondary, internal protection monitors compressor discharge temperature. The compressor is installed on isolation mounting to the baseplate to reduce noise and vibration.

3-in-1 Heat Exchanger: The heat exchanger(s) are an integrated, aluminum channel design. They are designed to Pre-cool the inlet air, Reduce the air stream to the needed dewpoint and reheat the air prior to discharge. The heat exchanger conforms to GB/ASME pressure vessel code

Micro-Channel Condenser: Micro-channel, parallel flow aluminum condensers and axial fans provide sub cooling to the refrigerant. The micro-channel’s superior surface area to volume ratio, which is typically 18 times greater than an equivalent tube in fin condenser, enables:

• Less refrigerant usage

• Low pressure drop across the condenser

R410A Refrigerant: Environmentally friendly R410A, a non-ozone depleting refrigerant, is used in Crownwell Dryer. R410A is not on any list for global obsolescence.

Filter (option): An electro statically charged HAF (High Air Flow media) industrial grade air filter comes on Crownwell dryers to help protect the dryer from ingress of dust.

Moisture Separator with Integral Automatic Drains - Crownwell dryers use a multi-action moisture separator to ensure water is separated from the compressed air stream, after the evaporator. Optimum efficiency is gained with the use of large flow, solenoid operated drain valves. This ensures that you get Dry Air for your process requirements.

Hot Gas By-pass Valve - The key to constant Dew point control is the Hot Gas bypass valve. Crownwell dryers use the finest valve of the world. The use of this valve in the refrigeration system ensures that your Crownwell dryers will provide you with a constant low Dew Point, resulting in Dry Air.

Low Noise - Crownwell Dryers are also fitted with a sound proof enclosure, to ensure the low working noise.

Perfect Protection Functions – Crownwell Dryers has the perfect self-protection for its refrigerant compressor. Including compressor overload, fan motor overload, refrigerant high pressure/low pressure protection, electric current overload, phase loss, etc.
